I understand that you received an unsolicited CAPTCHA. The following diagram illustrates the possibility of an unsolicited code.

If you just received an unsolicited code out of the blue, the odds are that someone incorrectly entered an address (whose address may be similar to yours) when requesting the code.

Please ignore the email for now and observe if you continue to receive such emails please let me know again.

    Hi,

    I continue to get one time use codes that I did not request. This sometime happen on a weekly or more frequently. Is there a way to make my WIndows account more secure so Idon't keep getting these attempts to access my wIndows account. I also went into security and notice that there were several attempt from foreign nationals to access my account.

    I get the email every other day.

    Do you think Microsoft can come up with a solution or something more than - don't worry about it? The fact that it happens so often, to so many - makes it look like someone is looking for some sort of vulnerability?

    Nobody could’ve typed my email by mistake because it’s my email with my numbers so why am I getting these saying that I’ve requested a code when I haven’t?
