We received your request for a single-use code to use with your Microsoft account.

Your single-use code is: 908607

If you didn't request this code, you can safely ignore this email. Someone else might have typed your email address by mistake.

Thanks,
The Microsoft account team

Hello Lisa Murphy3,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you received an unsolicited CAPTCHA. The following diagram illustrates the possibility of an unsolicited code.

If you just received an unsolicited code out of the blue, the odds are that someone incorrectly entered an address (whose address may be similar to yours) when requesting the code.

Please ignore the email for now and observe if you continue to receive such emails please let me know again.

Best Regards,

Jimmy Wang |Microsoft Community Support Specialist

I too was receiving these annoying unrequested verification codes. For everyone still affected by this issue, please check this other Microsoft Support reply that might be of help, since Jimmy here doesn't want to help out anymore.

This is why EVERYONE should have a LOCAL account to use Windows and not this stupid cloud account to log in to everything.

And in Windows 11 it is mandatory to have a cloud account and they don't even provide the bare minimum support in case of hacking attempts. It's just disgusting really. These tech guys are getting richer by the minute and we are getting worse and worse services.
