    The point is, it's not your account. it's just a spam email that mimics your email automatically. They're sending those automatically to thousands of email addresses, hoping that someone will fall for the blackmail.

    Just delete the email they sent you and move on.

    hi, what i did is report the email as a phishing email. does it affect anything if i do that? plus i received the email in my inbox instead in my junk email.

    PHP, it is possible to send an email from your own email address using the mail() function or through an email sending service like PHPMailer or any other SMTP library.

    nahh! i dont think so!it happened here ..i got the same email,

    and everyday i got attempts to login into my account..(but i dont receive any email, i just know about that because i see throught the microsoft historic logins like you)

    I had the same email, although my email/facebook/amazon/netflix accounts have all been hacked at the same time. I’ve reset all my passwords and put extra security on them, but still unable to recover my FB account, and their customer service so far has been awful
