New Teams meeting add-in is missing from outlook

Hi,

I have a PC with windows 11 and Office 365. I have installed the New Teams on it.
the user cannot create a teams meeting from outlook calendar.

When I looked for the add-in Options>Add-ins, I didnt see the add-in there, not even in the inactive or the disabled.

The add-in is installed when I looked in %AppData\local\microsoft\TeamsMeetingAddin..

I tried to uninstall Teams but again same problem.

I took the plugin from a PC that can launch teams meetings from outlook and put it in the folder of the PC that cant and it worked for a day now its not.

    We had the same issue and following this Microsoft Article fixed issue:
    Teams Meeting add-in is missing in Outlook Desktop after updating to New Teams - Microsoft Support

    All you need to do is to make sure that Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Office is uninstalled, then close and re-open Teams, which causes Outlook Plugin to re-install.

    I make this all and it works now

    Taskkill /F /IM outlook.exe

    Taskkill /F /IM ms-teams.exe

    xcopy G:\Support\Teams\TeamsMeetingAddin %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\TeamsMeetingAddin\*.* /S /Y

    %SystemRoot%\System32\regsvr32.exe /n /i:user %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\TeamsMeetingAddin\1.23.28501\x64\Microsoft.Teams.AddinLoader.dll

    reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\TeamsAddin.FastConnect" /v LoadBehavior /t REG_DWORD /d 3 /f

    In these cases, it's not about re-registering the Add-In DLL. It's simply not present on the machine in the first place, and we shouldn't have to do your workaround, so I've logged a ticket with MS support. First response was "are you sure it's not there?", followed a few days later with "have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Teams?"

    If anyone else with Unified Support can log a ticket and get some heat onto this issue, it'd be great.

    This workaround worked for me.

    I unistalled the new Teams and clossed Outlook classic desktop app.

    Then I installed Teams classic from the official download page, clicking the button to download for personal accounts.

    Next, I logged in with my work account. This step made the trick for me, otherwise the add-in does not appear.

    After restarting Outlook, the Teams add-in reappeared and worked well.

    Finally, I reinstalled the new Teams from the official web page, clicking the button for work and school accounts, and logged in with my work account.

    Until now the Teams add-in is working as expected. No need to install the new Outlook (which btw looks horrible)

    I transitioned to the new Teams interface, only to discover that the Teams meeting options were absent in Outlook as well. Consequently, I had to revert to the previous version.

    Considering Microsoft's substantial financial standing as a multi-trillion-dollar company, one would expect them to allocate resources towards promptly addressing such issues.

    bro, this is return you to the old version which was installed on the machine.

    but try to upgrade it you ill lose the plugin.
