Hello,

my name is Igor and I have problem in new outlook app. Im using 3 emails in old app. 1 private and 2 work accounts. Everything is ok. But when i switched to new outlook i cant add second work email. There is error:

"This account is not supported in Outlook for Windows due to the license provided by your work or school. Try to login with another account or go to Outlook on the web"

Why? why it works in old but not in new version ? Its feature or bug ? I want to use app not web, and i need this email not another... I would like to use outlook but this is ridiculous and i consider move to another app...

I have the same issue and this is infuriating. I consult for other companies and often it is easier for them if I collaborate using an email address they provide for me. I like them all in Outlook synched across all my devices - so I don't miss a random meeting invite or email. The 'NEW' Outlook removed my other accounts and now says I cannot add them. I myself pay for Office Premium ($20/month per user) and I know one other company is paying that for one of my accounts.. I want my accounts back in Outlook on my Microsoft Surface - and I don't want features I already pay for to just disappear on me. We're trying to do business here and Outlook is supposed to enable that. Lately, it's been an unreliable clusterfork.

I did some searching and found this:

    1. Uninstall the new Outlook 365 Pre application.
    2. Open the Mail for Windows app (It will ask you to open microsoft store and install Outlook and select it as default app).
    3. Ignore and cancel it. Again open the Mail for Windows app, keep repeating the same process again and again. After 3-4 tries, it'll open the old-yet-gold Mail for Windows.

    It worked for me!

    I have the same issue.

A couple of weeks ago, I updated to the new Outlook on my computer. This works fine.

Now I try to update Outlook on some other computers of mine, and I run into the problem "This account is not supported in Outlook for Windows due to the license provided by your work or school."

Can Microsoft please fix this as soon as possible?

Same problem here with 365. One of my accounts works, the other, not so much...

    MS leaves people hanging again...classic.

The admin applies a policy to the mailbox on the server to block it. https://learn.microsoft.com/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/outlook-on-the-web/enable-disable-employee-access-new-outlook#enable-or-disable-the-new-outlook-for-windows-for-an-individual-mailbox

I have "Exchange Online (Plan 1)" I initially switched to the new outlook on my PC and all my accounts worked.

Recently I have tried to switch to the new outlook on my laptop. All accounts except the "Exchange Online (Plan 1)" account work. I get the same error message as @Igor. So I don't think that it is related to policy.
