STOP MAKING EXCUSES for charging people for accounts they've had for decades. It is UTTERLY RIDICLOUS I can see if people were using a microsoft programs; HOWEVER CHARGING people for emails receiving or sending IS JUST PLAN GREED !!! MICROSOFT SHOULD BE ASHAMEDOF THESE GREEDY TATICS that are being FORCED upon hotmail.com account users ESPECIALLY since hotmail.com has been around for DECADES before Microsoft got a hold

I want my normal hotmail.com login, which i have been using for years. All of a sudden you decide without any option to force a Microsoft Account with Billing?

Why? You are causing me problems, I am not getting my emails, you have messed up access to my emails, no consideration for older people, you should be helping more to allow using the same format to access our emails.

For reasons which I don't understand I've not been able to access the hotmail address I've had for twenty years (******@hotmail.com). The great problem is that it includes dozens and dozens of contacts whose E-mail addresses I don't have written down.

I am 78 and disabled and hotmail is my principal contact with the outside world.

For the time being I have a new hotmail address but I really need access to all my stored addresses and messages.

I too cannot get into my Hotmail.co.uk account. I do have Microsoft office which I paid for paid for, that isn't the issue. When I try to log into Hotmail as instructed, it whirrs, then fails, and I cannot connect to sign in. I managed to access my Gmail account, that is allowed under new Outlook. The only explanation is vague, New Outlook does not yet support Hotmail. Earlier this year I was allowed to toggle between New and old Outlook, but now this has disappeared too! Why not keep this toggle until Outlook has solved the problem with Hotmail, because it certainly seems to be a problem that Outlook should solve.

Looks like you are in the same boat as me. I too have had no success with Outlook, their customer service is abysmal. Luckily for me, I have one way round this problem. I own an Apple phone, which has no problem with me using Hotmail. So when I want to answer Hotmail emails on my laptop, I forward them on my phone to my Gmail account, which incidentally, Outlook had no trouble recognising, and use my laptop as usual.

I could forward my emails to my Outlook account, but I'm really angry with Outlook for disabling Hotmail, and causing all this trouble in the first place!
