No spelling suggestions in the right-click menu (New Outlook for Windows)

I have had the same issue, but I have the Office 365 Outlook app actually loaded on my computer.

It happened when I switched to the new view of Outlook. I am ready to switch back to the old view due to this feature not working. I use it all the time.

It shows the spelling error, but does not provide spelling suggestions in the right click pop up menu.

I checked the editor settings and these are all turned on. I also restarted the application.

In the new Outlook for Windows, simply clicking in a word which is flagged as misspelled will display spelling suggestions.

I found that if the message is embedded in the main Outlook window, then this issue occurs (can't bring up right click menus including spell check). HOWEVER, if you "pop out" the message into it's own floating window, then the right click seems to work.

My organization seems to have disabled my ability to change privacy settings.

The classic version of Outlook is a lot better than the new Outlook, so I would definitely recommend using the classic version.

Here's my feedback. Go back to standalone Outlook. The cloud is c.r@p. I've been in IT professionally for over 34 years and longer as a hobby. This is a joke. An email app that can't even correct spelling.

It's a feature, right?

Partially works for me - thank you very much. Black marks for MIcrosoft which is forcing a badly made product on us That setting is way too obscure for me to normally find without help. And there seems to be no informatiion from MIcrosoft to help on this which is rubbish given that they charge you for keeping 365 up to date as part of annual cost
