I do not get any verification codes sent to my email

My outlook email does not get any verification codes, I did all the basic things like checking my spam checking my blocked users and everything, nothing works. I recently got a pc and want to link my video game accounts from console to pc for example my Activison account, but when it tells me to verify my email by typing the code that was sent to my email I do not get any. I tested if it was with all emails by sending myself an email with a different email and I got it, it seems to not work when I need a verification code becuase I have tried with my epic account and my activision account and neither work. Please this is a serious issue, what if it was not video games, what if it was something more important like a bank account, I need this fixed as soon as possible please and thankyou.

I'm not sure if anyone else already mentioned this but it's the only thing it worked for me. This requires you can still login through other methods on the microsoft website, since in my case, i didn't get a verification code when it was "sent" through windows/xbox app/microsoft store.

  1. Go to your Microsoft Account on the browser
  2. Go to Security -> Manage logins

3- Add a new login method or verification

4- Select "Use an application". This are authentication apps, probably the safest option to have on your account.

After step 4 just follow the instructions it gives you, and next time you try to login, it will ask for the code in the authentication app instead. It will recommend using the Microsft Auth app, but you could use any other if you know about it.

Remember that if you do this, and want to change your phone later, you'll need to probably migrate the app to the new device, just investigate what you need to do after.

I think your answer is slightly something different (activating Microsoft software) and misses the problem. The problem is the inability to activate 3rd party apps (Tesla and McDonald's in my case) because Outlook servers block the confirmation email that would allow me to respond "yes it's me" and confirm the email is valid. In both examples, I was able to go forward using my Gmail account. I've been using my Hotmail email account since the 1980s and have tied all 100+ accounts to it. Until now. Many of us are choosing to not give up and hope Microsoft fixes their problem. But alas, they leave us no choice but divorce our long relationship.

Perhaps you misunderstood the problem. The problem is about why certain emails are never received using Outlook mail servers.

There was indeed a solution that worked. I went to my school( you can try another device) and logged in on the school device using my school email that was not working on my device at home. When I came back home, it automatically logged into teams using that email. Maybe it will work for you.

I have the same problem, I have tried your suggestions, and none of the above suggestions solve the issue.

Is this still an ongoing issue or is there a solution?

As far as I know no resolution. I think you are correct that they somehow filter out certain automated emails.
