How do I enable copy and paste in the new outlook?

I am not able to directly copy any documents from Explorer and then go to the email that I am working on to paste onto the emial. Before with the Old Outlook I was able to to do this easily but the New Outlook requires me to go to the "paper clip" Icon above then search thru the Explorer to find the file then the specific documents(which couple be hundred documents); this process takes sometime 5 miniuets to find the exact document to copy and paste. I need to do it the Old Outlook ways or "Classic" format so that I can do just the cut and paste as mentioned earlier of this email. Pleas advise ASAP thanks.

I agree the new outlook is a total mess and i hope they get rid of it and bring back something close to the old version. This version for me is a waste of time i have gone back to just using aol and Gmail without going to outlook. I hate it so much. It use to be the best now it is the worse.

Very upset and wish i never got Outlook at all.

I had the same problem but thankfully found a fix I'm ok with. Changing my default email format from plain text to HTML did the trick.

There goes 20+ years of using plain text as my default format. Now I'm forced to send fatter email over the pipe for no good reason.

As a 78 year old woman I don't understand what you are saying.

I hit "send again" and found no paper clip. Did something else and found paper clip but 3 choices. 2 the same and none what I wanted. Could not go anywhere else in that screen. Got out of everything and guess I'm done for. Maybe they should wait til the Boomers die off.

GOOD IDEA, I'LL JUST USE MY G-MAIL FROM GOOGLE, IT SEEMS LIKE MICROSOFT WANTS EVERYBODY TO SWITCH TO GOOGLE ANYWAY.

MICROSOFT COULDN'T CREATE A MOBILE PHONE OPERATING SYSTEM WITH APPS SO SOMEBODY MUST HAVE MADE A ANDROID PHONE FOR MICROSOFT & MICROSOFT JUST SLAPPED THEIR NAME ON THE PHONE.

I AM SLOWLY SWITCHING TO GOOGLE, MICROSOFT FORCED ME TO GET A PIXEL 7 PRO PHONE.

AND THE NEXT TIME I NEED A LAPTOP, I'LL GET A GOOGLE LAPTOP, MY WIFE ALREADY HAS ONE.

I had the same problem and think the "New" program is not great.

However, you can still use copy paste if you use the keyboard shortcut commands of "control C" (copy) "control V" (Paste).

So you select the file in the folder (or multiple files) hit the "control" key and "C" key at the same time, then go to you remail in the body message area and click the left mouse button, so the curser is flashing there. Then hit the "control" key and "V" key on the keyboard at the same time.
