How do I enable copy and paste in the new outlook?

I am not able to directly copy any documents from Explorer and then go to the email that I am working on to paste onto the emial. Before with the Old Outlook I was able to to do this easily but the New Outlook requires me to go to the "paper clip" Icon above then search thru the Explorer to find the file then the specific documents(which couple be hundred documents); this process takes sometime 5 miniuets to find the exact document to copy and paste. I need to do it the Old Outlook ways or "Classic" format so that I can do just the cut and paste as mentioned earlier of this email. Pleas advise ASAP thanks.

Why "NEW" Outlook anyway. Old Outlook works really well. All the issues addressed here are not a problem in the Old Outlook, so why don't they work in "NEW"? One of the many things that make no sense at all, but evidently Microsoft does not read its own threads. We will see.

I too, have had to reinstall the old Outlook to facilitate copy and paste. I may not get the latest update but that may prevent Outlook from removing another feature.

Hi Don! My name is David and I’m here to help.

I understand that you're having trouble with copy and paste in the new Outlook. It can be frustrating when you're unable to directly copy documents from Explorer and paste them into your email. In the old Outlook, it was much easier for you to do this.

In the new Outlook, the process is slightly different. Rather than directly copying and pasting from Explorer, you can use the "paper clip" icon above the email composition window to attach the file you want to send. I know it can be time-consuming to search through Explorer to find the exact document you want to copy and paste, especially if you have a lot of files.

If you prefer to do it the old Outlook way or in the "Classic" format, I'm afraid that's not currently possible in the new Outlook. However, you can still attach the file using the "paper clip" icon and send it as an attachment.

I hope this helps clarify the process for you. Thanks.
