Hi.

I am currently using 'New Outlook'. Previously I was able to set a reminder/follow up on the email either before or after sending as a reminder to do so.

Sadly I cannot find it. Has it been omitted?

This was a very important tool, please reinstate this incredibly useful and productive feature.

    Hi All,

    a trick i'm using is.

1 write the email, but don't send it. Make sure that it is in draft's

2 select the Drafts folder on the left pane

3 as you are standing on the draft, you can no set the flag (at least). just flag as you don't have the options for specific date and time.

and a second trick would be to write the email with some text implying followup so that copilot could catch it and retrieve it.

If you have, or buy, a paid Microsoft 365 subscription that includes "Desktop versions of ... Outlook" (not the "Microsoft 365 Business Basic" plan), you do not have to switch to the New Outlook.

If you do not want to subscribe to a paid Microsoft 365 plan to get Classic Outlook, then you might want to consider buying a license for Office Home & Business 2024. This includes Outlook 2024. The latest version of the full featured, Classic, desktop, stand alone, perpetual license Outlook. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/p/office-home-business-2024/cfq7ttc0pbm7

I am using Classic Outlook and I don't have the functionality anymore either. I worked with a Microsoft tech over the phone months ago and when he made some changes to my Outlook (reinstalling it), I didn't have it. I don't have the bandwidth to figure this out because I tried all the suggestions.

Now I just set up separate files with emails I need to follow up and then enter a task. Yes, it's double work but it's my workaround.

Most likely, within Classic Outlook, your account was originally configured as a POP3 account, which has full support for Flagged Items and Reminders. When your account was reconfigured by the Microsoft tech, it must have been configured as an IMAP account instead which only has limited flagging support.

See: Follow Up Flags and Reminders for IMAP accounts - MSOutlook.info
