I'm using Outlook 365 on my Windows 11 PC, and the Outlook android app on my smartphone. On the PC, I have a work calendar, an association calendar, and a private one. The android app only has the private e-mail account and calendar (this is for security reasons). Until very recently, I have been able to copy meetings from the work and association calendars to the private one on my PC, so that they show up in my android Outlook app.
Microsoft has removed this functionality without warning. Outlook blocks copying meetings with “Copying meetings is not supported.” - Microsoft Support.
The workaround (involving editing the regsitry) works, but what is the long term solution?

Microsoft, please stop ignoring us and this issue; please stop sweeping it under the rug. Talented technical people could fix it.
After duplicating the event and selecting a new calender you have to send this new event - I don't see any chance to simply save this copy locally without sending it to all recipients (again).
So this doesn't work at all for my usecase - we have all meetings for our complete team in a team calender and I simply wanted to copy one to my local calender so that it shows up as blocker when others want me to invite for another meeting at same time slot...
Okay, but not everything on the calendar is a meeting. I frequently block time for specific tasks and sometimes a few hours each day in a week. I used to control+C, control+V to do that, but those controls don't work anymore. So now I need to duplicate and then either drag the entry or change the dates multiple times.
Did the Outlook team really not realize that people put both meetings and non-meetings on their calendars? Also, if people want to copy meetings, let them do it. Give them a pop-up if you're that worried about the outcome, but don't block the functionality when it's been available for ages.
Running O365 Outlook on Windows 10, I am able to copy meetings by selecting the meeting, holding the ALT key, and dragging to the other calendar. No need to line up the exact time of meeting, it automatically places it where it needs to go.
How do you create a Reg file? I've tried following the Microsoft steps, but what I've done isn't working. I'm in the Old Outlook. I choose to create a new DWORD Reg. And used the value 1. Not sure which Base to choose so kept the default.
Also, does it work right away or do I need to close and open everything again?
