Hey folks,
I've created a couple alias email addresses via Outlook itself (via https://account.live.com/names/Manage) but recently when I try sending an email from any of them it simply does not get sent? I can receive emails on those aliases.
This on Outlook in the browser (not the app), I select the alias I want to send from and it shows in my sent box but it never reaches the recipient. I've tired multiple different recipients and no it is not going to their spam either, double checked that. This used to work, are aliases just broken now? UGH!

If you have no M365 account and are not using a custom email domain (e.g. @mydomain.com), then my comment about DMARC is not relevant to your environment.
(I see that email addresses are automatically removed for privacy in this forum so if my example above is removed, then it said at-mydomain-dot-com)
Ups, I apologize my delay. I have way too less knowledge about the background details and what DMARC really is. I was happy to identify that some time ago the DMARC was not set to Pass which created the problems. So what is DMARC reporting? I have no 365 account.
My bank does not receive the mails. I recently sent a mail to a private person in Switzerland. He also didn't get the mail sent via my alias.
Interesting, my alias is a ******@gmx.de address. When I send mails to some other addresses at gmx.de the mails are dropped into spam.
My initial review of test emails received into a Google Workspace environment from my M365 account's aliases suggest that both DKIM and SPF pass, and that I have full DMARC alignment.
I have more testing and checks to do as some of my aliases are associated with subdomains of the primary (default) domain.
Are you able to share any information about which recipient platforms are dropping your messages into spam, and which seem to be not delivering at all?
Do you have DMARC reporting enabled? Does this show whether your messages are failing DMARC alignment and therefore being dropped by the recipient mail system?
A big NO, I have no fix. I don't have any idea what I can do - besides of being very, very angry.
Did you find a fix for this problem? I’m having the same exact issue
