I am trying to copy and paste from one email to another and outlook will not keep the format. This is the new outlook app so there is no File tab like suggested in every other answer.

I have the same issue! It was working just fine with the new outlook for a couple of weeks and now all of the sudden it will not copy and paste anything correctly. It keeps reverting it to plain text.

I already do daily what you described in your response.

However, the colors in the template in the email I sent to myself do not paste into the new email I create daily. I used to be able to Copy/Paste the formatting.

Microsoft should update Outlook so that it again allows for that.

It is frustrating because it is time consuming.

Microsoft, do you read these posts?

Well, i am happy that it worked for you, but it didn't when I copied mt template into a new email.

The New Outlook mail does not have the Paste/Keep Formatting option unlike the old Outlook mail.

When is there going to be a fix on this - for a good month now when ever I want to copy details from an e-mail to a new one it loses everything format wise - surely 'Paste' should be an exact copy formatting included and 'Paste as Plain Text' should be just copy the text and lose the formatting but either option loses everything since about a month ago.

It's causing me so much extra time and aggravation having to redo the formatting in every single e-mail I try to copy and paste - surely this has to be addressed?

    Thank you for responding.

I tried creating test templates with colors and copy/paste them, but that function was disabled in the New Outlook.

I am tempted to go back to the old one to find out if that function, the copying/pasting of colored fonts, still works with the old Outlook.
