See also here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Outlook/comments/19dx64p/outlook_2013_windows_10_suddenly_not_accepting/Outlook gives me this: (startede yesterday)

I have 2 PC's with HOTMAIL accounts in Outlook 2016 ...

They both have this error.

    @Gabriel

    I spent the evening redoing my devices, so I can put some finality to this issue. On my Android phone, I cleared data and uninstall Outlook for Android. Removed ALL my accounts, i.e., work, personal Gmail and MS Hotmail from Gmail and the device itself.. Cleared cache and data for Gmail client.

    When I add an account using Gmail's add function, which seems to activating a module probably co-developed with Microsoft because it has your logo and trademark. The add process is done by auto-discovery. The add process was successful and it only added an IMAP account, so there IS NO additional protocoled accounts for contact and calendar sync. I've did this multiple times and it's VERY clear the auto-discovery will add Hotmail as IMAP, which is not what I want.

    When I attempt to add as an Exchange account manually, error message is saying server cannot be reached. I tried this on multiple Android devices, of version 12, 13 and 14, and they have the same behavior. IMAP is not going to serve my needs as I need calendar sync, so I will go back to use Exchange or EAS. Can you provide the correct server address, port number and security options for such configuration? If there is an updated article, please point me to it.

    This situation is simply untenable. And despite the comments from Gabriel and David, MS has done little to nothing to address and resolve the issue, or keep its users well informed. Even with OAuth in use, MS is still throwing constant sign-in errors. MS has not provided a working service for more than a month. Compensation is not being discussed. What are users expected to do but challenge the charges with their credit card providers and/or leave MS for another service provider?
