Outlook PWA, how to change spellcheck back to right click

I am recommending that users revert to "old Outlook" while the seek out a product that completely replaces the defective "new Outlook".

Let's face it, if MS cared about the user experience, they would have never even considered tampering with an industry-standard.

I think that they have failed to realize that they are just one company in this industry, and they don't get to dictate standards.

That may have been the case "back in the day", but it is certainly not now.

IBM made this same mistake, and where are they now?

I had the option of turning on the "New Outlook" and at first thought it was nice. A new look and some features that appeared to be upgrades. However, I quickly realized that autocorrections and the right-click spellcheck are no longer a feature in the version. Ok, let's be up front about this. Without these basic features, this "New Outlook" is a complete disappointment and should be re-labeled as an "Outlook Downgrade". What a disappointment. Fortunately, I can use the toggle in the upper right-hand corner of the application to switch off this terrible version and go back to the old Outlook that actually works. Please consider revising Outlook to include all the base functionality so that we can move forward with what works and experience some of the new stuff at the same time.

Microsoft as a company seems to have retained the mindset of the past that they, and they alone completely own the user experience, and are free to alter it as they say fit.

The sheer hubris of this position does not serve them, or the users of their products well.

They make tools. Tools have industry standards. Departing those standards, for ANY reason, lowers productivity.

I have yet to cross paths with anyone that sees this change as a good thing.

I get that Microsoft might want their products to be distinct. Actions like this may serve to ensure that the only distinction is their products being abandoned for ones that do not thwart progress.

Absolutely abhorrent change. It is the single worst UI feature on any system. Change it back to right click for the love of all things functional!

I agree with the other users that this is a frustrating issue. Same thing occurs in the Outlook app. I find it frustrating because sometimes I recognize the problem with the misspelled word and would prefer to fix it myslef, but if I left click on the word to fix it I would have to click out of the spell check pop-up widow before continuing on. I understand that it would theoretically be faster to use the spell check suggestion, but it casues my brain to have to shift gears and it causes more frustration than necessary for no reason.

Please change this back to the typical setup of right click to open the spell check widow.
