Outlook PWA, how to change spellcheck back to right click

I recently started using Outlook PWA with Chrome and the right click spellcheck is disabled, forcing me to use left click to access spellcheck. This is very unintuitive, all applications use right click for spellcheck. I am deeply confused by this interface choice, the right click menu in Outlook is useless now, the only options being copy & paste and emojis for some reason?

Is there a setting in Outlook OR an chrome extension OR an Outlook Add-in that will put my spell check back on the right click where it is expected?

    at least give the use the choice right or left. All other office products are still right click...

    This is utterly ridiculous, a unilateral decision to change a decades old tradition of right-click enabled spell check to improve the user experience is possibly the dumbest PR speak I've ever heard.

    To also make this decision without providing the end user with any recourse to set this to normal is above and beyond stupid.

    Please just provide a setting to put this back to normal, why can we not vote on this?

    I have to agree that this is the dumbest decision in the new Outlook. I hate the pop-up on every paste, but the left-click for spelling not only breaks what Outlook has done for decades but disagrees with all the other Office apps. Get your s**t together Microsoft, we're not impressed.

    This is biggest pain point I have with switching the new outlook.

    As a software developer, it's not uncommon for me to write terms that aren't words per say, like variable or function names.

    High jacking my left click for spell check impedes my ability to navigator outlook and highlighting a "word" to copy and paste it is now a pain.

    This is more than just the normal sting of change.

    This was a terrible UX idea and I cannot believe no one stopped it.

    Please give us a setting to revert to this poor UX decision.

    PS, misspelled something in this post and was able to so smoothly right click to fix it.

    This is a design choice made by the Outlook team to improve the user experience.

    This comment here truly amazes me, because the UI is far from improved. You would think with a new feature that you use on a regular basis would become muscle memory... well, because everything else I use has right click for spellcheck and this is the only product that isn't universal with spellcheck, I simply can't get used to it.

    The two other massive UI changes that are not an improvement include:

    • Removing 'Synonym', I would use this in nearly every email I sent, now I have to go find it from other places, mainly google
    • Quickly finding an email in my inbox, I would click 'from' to sort the received emails alphabetically, I would type their name on the keyboard and bam, there it is. The increase in time has actually made me consider going back to fax machines
