Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hello. Appears this is a microsoft thing. Got no idea why. Just have to put up with it.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I'm not sure how long this has been happening, but does anyone know how to stop this from happening? I end up double checking my actual Sent folder to be sure my new/response emails did get sent, and not hung up in Draft folder.
Thanks!
Patricia

Hello. Appears this is a microsoft thing. Got no idea why. Just have to put up with it.
The only thing I could do to help the issue was change the settings in my email to make the "Automatically save items that have not been sent after this many minutes" to 15 minutes instead of the 3 minutes it was set for. It still does it, but not near as many as I don't have that many emails that aren't sent within 15 minutes. it's still kind of a pain, but I want it to save a draft if I do forget to send something, so figured this was the best option.
I agree! Soooo confusing to use this! I try not to even use my desktop version due to the confusing layout, not to mention ALL of my sent emails going to and STAYING in DRAFTS. I have checked all above settings and no difference.
This happens to me as well. Clicking send after composing the message sends it to the Drafts folder.
Sonia,
You are so very right! It is confusing and sent emails shouldn't be "hanging out" in the 'sent' folder.
I would like to have the older version back, also.
I am wondering if the reason this happens is because our IT guy prefers we use Edge as the browser, which I despise. But, based on Angelina Harper1, I don't think this is it, either.
Currently, I'm not having the same problem, but can attest that there are many times that it looks like my Outlook email view "changes" as if it is on desktop or web or whichever. 🤔
