Search not working on Outlook 16.79 on Mac Sonoma

Hi running Outlook 16.79 on Mac Sonoma 14.0 (23A344) and search function doesn't work at all. Any tips would be much appreciated, thanks

    I don’t have the Search option in Outlook>Preferences. Now what?

    Unfortunately, that didn't work!!

    Tried again after a restart of my iMac... still no luck.

    Did you wait for some time after doing the recommended steps? If so, how long?

    For Step 3....

    Close Outlook

    To switch ON to new outlook use Terminal command:

    defaults write com.microsoft.Outlook EnableNewOutlook -integer 2

    To switch FROM new outlook back to legacy use Terminal commands:

    defaults write com.microsoft.Outlook EnableNewOutlook -integer 1

    defaults write com.microsoft.Outlook EnableNewOutlook -integer 0

    This is in response to requests for assistance on page one of this thread: Loss of operational Search function in Outlook for Mac, for those of us choosing to use Legacy Outlook.

    Step 2) When re-indexing is done, enable and then immediately disable New Outlook feature. Disable is done by "Revert to legacy outlook" in Outlook Help menu.

    I think this topic is about the New Outlook?
