You're not alone! This seems to be a recent change or bug affecting Outlook.com, causing the creation of "OwaFV15.1ALLFocused" and similar folders. Here's what we know and what to do:

Explanation: Likely an Automatic Change: It's most likely a change Microsoft has pushed out, potentially a new way of sorting emails. It doesn't appear directly sinister, but rather a buggy alteration. Folders Replacing Focused Inbox: "OwaFV15.1ALLFocused" seems to be the new "Focused" inbox and the other likely replaces the "Other" inbox.

How to Address the Issue:

Restore Previous View (If Possible): Some users may find an option to "Try the previous Focused Inbox" while viewing these new folders. If present, use this to revert to the older style. This option might be temporary to help during the transition period.

If this is a permanent change. You need to immediately fire whoever is in charge of updates for this app. This is one of the worst changes I ever seen in any app on planet Earth. Aliens will no longer come to Earth due to the stupidly of this change. (if its permanent)

Hi. Last night when I was using my Outlook mail it suddenly created two new files, e.g. OwaFV15.1ALLFocused etc. It then seemed to put my last few months emails into these folders (one being the replacement for 'focused' and the other one for 'other'. Looking online I can see a brief question/discussion about this in the last few hours so I assume this is a new problem. How do I stop this happening, and why did it happen? Is it sinister? Any help gratefully received, thank you!

Noticed the same here in AU when i opened my computer this morning on the 15/02/24.

Also noticed that there were new updates installed in this time period.

Couldn't work out what it was all about.

(Could it be the transition to the NEW OUTLOOK that Microsoft is pushing???)

All i know is that it has something to do with Outlook as it starts with the : OwaFV15.1ALLFOCUSED

Big mistake i did was deleting it.

All my e-mails were gone.

At that point the only option i had was Uninstalling mail.

Which i did.

Then went back to the Microsoft Store and re-installed it.

E-Mails were back.

"BUT" note, .... So is the OwaFV15.1ALLFocused when open the More under Folders.

The side pane opens called "ALL FOLDERS" and i see the OwaFV15.1ALLFOCUSED between the Junk and Support Folders.

Wish Microsoft would inform us if this is a play on their behalf.

hi, I had the same problem. I tried just putting my pointer as far as i could to the right and clicking a right hand click on it. It brought up the box what would I like to do with this . I hit delete and the folder then was moved up. I then repeated this process and it deleted it. I thought that this might help some people out. sincerely Mark Abele Sr.

Another Microsoft screw-up. They continually push out updates without testing and debugging them, relying on end users to do the beta testing that they can't be bothered with because they have SO many other important things to do. Eventually they'll push out a fix for this but the solution may be worse than the problem. Having to manually move the 98 e-mails that used to be in my Focused folder back to that folder is something I simply won't do.
