How I can switch from working offline to working online in outlook?

Clicking on the work offline button does not change the button to online or remove the red x

I clicked the highlighted working off line in the ribbon but the working off line at the footer did not go away.

My Outlook is offline and cant send and recieve

I have been out of work for weeks due to not being able to get this Offline thing to switch to Online. Any ideas? With thanks. I am using Outlook, and it's stuck between these things.. Old Outlook, Mail, and New Outlook. It's Windows 11.
