What replaces the "Edit Message" button in the New Outlook?

I'm curious; what are the "quirks and problems"?

I've been using Outlook (the whole Office suite) for decades. I recall a time when you had complete control over toolbars. That was severely limited in a later version, but easy to adapt to. Until now, it's worked quite well, and I had no problems. The new Outlook is ridiculous; it's like email for dummies.

For what it's worth, I found this online: https://www.directionsonmicrosoft.com/prepare-to-opt-out-of-new-outlook-starting-in-april-2026/ "Microsoft will remove classic Outlook from Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise by the second quarter of 2028, but it still will be available as a separate download for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise customers until 2029."

I know how to do it in 'old' outlook. I want to do it in the new version!
