After researching how to get it back to how it looked, which was much more in my taste, much easier to navigate, had what I needed and nothing more, - I now see I can't get it back after it was updated. I think i'm gonna completely disgard of this email, I liked how it looked on PC, it was dark, fast, easy to find things, now it's very complicated with a lot of options and tools i have no use for, and it's bright, with small buttons everywhere. The browser version is alright, so that is what I will be using. I will uninstall outlook completely as a program from my PC, as I do not wish to have this update, and it's more trouble and much more confusing and irritating, than helping and good. It will complicate work and how easy it was before, but that's just how it is, when updates are being forced upon people. It's a typical thing of big coperations to do this, so it dosen't surprise me, that some people who think they know it all, make something new, to shove down the users throat, instead of being able to choose ourselves.

New Outlook is HORRIBLE. I'm always getting 'Access Denied' messages, it's jarring to look at and overcomplicated to use. Emails don't arrive as they arrive, they arrive in bunches and in order to get a bunch you have to close outlook and reopen, there's no 'refresh' option that I can find. I switched back to the classic outlook, but that didn't appear to send emails that I had sent. Microsoft is determined that we have to use the new version so saying we can switch back is a myth. Horrible, hateful...

I can't even click on a calendar invite ics file and have it added to my calendar anymore! I get a message stating that "The new Outlook does not have that functionality yet. You can revert to the previous Outlook if you require that functionality." That has always been a basic function of Outlook! How in the world is the development team not seeing all the issues they have created?! What was a business level product has become a basic app with very little functionality! I also lost all my rules for sorting email into folders and the new rules are so basic, it requires 5 rules to do what one did before. UGH!!

Doesn't help that the CEO of Microsoft doesn't value in house beta testers, so guess who gets to beta test now? Us users and we all see the results from flawed Windows 11 to junk with the Outlook app to a poor joke of an app in Teams. But hey the CEO was paid almost $55 million last year. What a bargain!

Yep good time to switch to another platform. I swear .. developers NEVER talk to anyone prior to putting a plan into place...

I make you right. New outlook releases aren't released on my workplace network until thouroughly tested. I should have taken a leaf out of the corporate techs and waited until they released it. I'm a DBA but it's gonna take someone A LOT more savvy than me to sort this C*** out. Strange though that the MS techs responsible for this haven't tested it fully on Beta before they subjected the minions to it considering how much they're paid !!! Or is it ??? MS march for world dominitation seems to continue !!!
