The new update on OUTLOOK mail, is terrible

After researching how to get it back to how it looked, which was much more in my taste, much easier to navigate, had what I needed and nothing more, - I now see I can't get it back after it was updated.
I think i'm gonna completely disgard of this email, I liked how it looked on PC, it was dark, fast, easy to find things, now it's very complicated with a lot of options and tools i have no use for, and it's bright, with small buttons everywhere.

  • The browser version is alright, so that is what I will be using. I will uninstall outlook completely as a program from my PC, as I do not wish to have this update, and it's more trouble and much more confusing and irritating, than helping and good. It will complicate work and how easy it was before, but that's just how it is, when updates are being forced upon people.

It's a typical thing of big coperations to do this, so it dosen't surprise me, that some people who think they know it all, make something new, to shove down the users throat, instead of being able to choose ourselves.

From what I've been reading in other sites, the long term plan could be to remove Outlook from the Office package and make this new horrible version the standard Outlook in all Windows machines (replacing the long forgotten, archaic mail and calendar default app in Windows 11). If that is the case, I see a lot of opportunities for someone to come up with a brilliant email program similar to the current Outlook to fill the void in professional environments when MS forces this turd on everyone. I sincerely hope that is not the case and we can continue using Outlook, with all its features intact, in the future.

I agree. I tried switching to the new Outlook 2 times as I'm in IT and will need to support it eventually but switched back to the old reliable Outlook within 10 minutes. Absolutely AWFUL! HIDEOUS!

I agree: it is awful on a Mac as well. It is impossible to create a simple distribution list. WUH!? I spent a good bit of time following the directions on setting up a simple group email list, having to type in every single letter of that person's email because for some reason, Outlook didn't recognize the same people I have been emailing for many years, hit Add, only to have the stupid thing NOT add the emails. Total waste of time. I will have to add each one manually, it seems., every time I want to send them all an email, which is every single day. REALLY?!!!! Isn't that sort of, well, BASIC? I am so sick and tired of Microsoft touting how great their products are on a PC or Mac only to have them NOT work well on a Mac. What a waste of money.

I stupidly accepted the change thinking this was going to be better... I was wrong on so many levels. I have nothing positive to say about this new garbage Outlook app. As soon as I switched, it removed all my other accounts except for the first one I added and I could not figure out how to get those accounts back or add other accounts. When I did an internet search, I kept finding "Click on File", but there is no "File" option. What the hell Micro$oft?!!! I was very frustrated and angry.

Luckily, when I did a search for Outlook on my computer, I was able to find the old version with all my accounts still attached, so my frustration and anger has dissipated but my disappointment with Micro$oft remains.

The new Outlook is trash and should be sent to the Recycle Bin and permanently deleted.

Fully agree! I tried it for 2 hours and could not schedule a room with the same ease as the "old Outlook". It is either not complete or are not good for business users with a large number of conference rooms, etc.
