Thanks - I've managed to reduce the display size, and as a result found how to get rid of the popup. Just hope it doesn't come back . . .

How can I close the Microsoft pop up titled Your Microsoft account brings everything together? It appears on my outlook screen and on my word documents and I can ‘t get rid of it. It prevents me from using those functions. I have rebooted but it keeps appearing. I can ‘t see any option to close it.

I have solved this problem on window 11.
solution 1: Go to settings > search for "Display" > click on display resolution & reduce the screen resolution temporary. This will enable you to press ESC button or Continue button and remove the popup.
solution 2: On micro soft word address bar, click on sign in icon ad press sign out button and signed-out from app. This will not show popup next time when you open micro soft word app from computer and also enables you to modify the document.
Hope this will help!. Good luck.
Just reset your laptop display setting to 100% and then you got the open to scroll and after that you can click on continue button.
Settings-->Display-->Scale-->100%
Keep clicking the corners of the pop up until the scroll appears on the right.
Next, scroll down and the continue button will turn blue.
Click continue and you're all set
100% this does not work
