Outlook showing "from" field when replying to an email addressed or cc'd to me

Very recently, don't know the exact date, when replying to an email, addressed to me or I'm cc'd, Outlook shows the "from" field (with my email address, no other account).

I have one email account, I cannot find a solution to stop this from appearing, it doesn't impact anything, just it never used to show it, now it does.

It doesn't appear if I create a new email (wouldn't expect it to, as I only have one account), It also doesn't appear If I reply to an email that doesn't name me but am part of a mail group.

Anyone else have this "issue", a workaround or is there a fix?

    Same issue here. Started in January without any changes to my account. Registry value set to 0. Doesn't show on new messages or replies from Sent Folder, presumably replying to myself. All other replies and forwards show From: field and Options, From selected/highlighted. Version 2303 (Build 16130.20218 Click-to-Run).

    Well isn't this nice. Microsoft support pretty much blew me off. They admit it's an issue but they won't fix it?

    "This is known issue and cannot be changed. This is the change which is done globally for all the tenants. Please fill below product feedback where developers keep a track of change request from customers."

    It's a known issue but can't be changed??? What kind of answer is that, Microsoft?

    I can confirm this began with 2212. Users still on 2211 do not have this problem.

    The application seem to ignore the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences*ShowFrom* key value.

    New messages do not have this problem, only Replies and Forwards except when done from the Sent Items folder.

    Thanks for confirmation, I'll wait with bated breath for the next update...

    This regression bug was introduced more than 6 months (a year?) ago. Why can't Microsoft fix it? Out of their skills?

    New versions of Outlook and Office programs always mean more regressions introduced, much more than any benefit from some scarce bug fixes and mostly useless new functionalities. A pity that the company where I work won't block these painful updates... :(

    At home I can use a version 2003 of Microsoft Office: much less bugs (and these have mostly never been fixed in 20 years), much more efficient UI, faster software, no missing significant functionalities...
