Getting 2400 error in outlook application

Hi,

Something went wrong [2400] error in outlook application. Web outlook is working fine.

Tried outlook repair, reinstallation, new profile creation and cleared password from device credential manager still issue persist. Seems like Microsoft issue. Screenshot attached

Please share any troubleshooting steps for permanent fix

    I tried all of the suggestions here and its still broken.

    Why cant MS get their **** together?

    Luckily my iPad mail app (NOT Outlook) still works, and its free. It has never had an issue.

    I am so sick of dealing with the garbage this company puts out. Once this laptop dies, I'm going to get a Mac, and will NEVER come back.

    UPDATE: Without doing anything at all, the @outlook.com email address account became functional again on my PC overnight! MS must have made another update to correct as I updated again over the weekend. What a pain in the **** this has been, though. Hope everyone else has this luck, too.

    It's a break cause by the most recent update.

    It is widespread.

    Stuff happens - for some reason In finding this a particularly annoying one.

    MS will have to fix it - if I figure out a work around I'll post back.

    My advice is downloading repair tools and reloading the app is a compete waste of time. Rarely is a solution. Hasn't been since the 80s 😎.

    Definately an authentication issue - luckily just with outlook.com (for me at least - I'm guessing everyone else too) ... just a maintenance account

    same problem here. started appearing today. super mega bad. after a couple of tries I got this email

    You need an app password

    Obviously something broken on MS side as this wasn't necessary before.
