Contact list grayed out in Outlook for Mac

(This article says that you "just have to" enable "Hide on my computer folders" but I do not have that options in Preferences > General) How do I enable Contact List this? Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. In fact, new outlook for mac does not have contact lists now. So the icon is greyed out. You can get more detailed information from New outlook for mac.

Microsoft is updating their products based on customers' need, believe this feature will be available soon. Please be patient to wait for some time. If you want to use this feature now, you can change back to the old outlook as the document said at any time. Your understanding and patience are highly appreciated.

Looks like my outlook updated last night and I finally have the ability to make a contact list. As a customer it really sucks to have to complain and whine in online forums, but it also sucks when two huge companies make it hard for people to just do their jobs.

Finally, outlook contact list for Macs.

Thanks for the advice John. I think you're right. Sucks though. A company as huge as Microsoft it's poor form that 2 years later they haven't found a solve for Mac OS. Have a great day.
