Microsoft account unusual sign-in activity from Russia

I know this question was asked before but the reply was closed and I noticed something important. The email is being sent from Microsoft domain , that means Microsoft domain is hacked already and sending these spams .

    I have the same situation - EXCEPT! I checked my activity and I have SCORES of attempted (and thankfully failed) sign-ins from all around the world!! In the past month alone there was upwards of 40 sign in attempts that are all unrecognized.
    I had absolutely no idea I am absolutely dismayed and despite my already lengthy PW I will be upping all my security protcols. Be careful everyone!

    Same. I changed my password recently still getting that phishing email. I am gonna ignore for now. I see unsuccessful attempts to login. Not sure **** they are doing.

    The initial email does in fact come from “Microsoft.com” domain. I triple checked the spelling. However, you are right when it comes to replying to that email. The reply address is not Microsoft’s. But who am I to argue if the initial email came from them. So I replied anyway.

    or the spammer is taking a break or got caught. They will likely be back with a new compromised mail servers to send you another round of spam.
