"New" Outlook: Add Shared Mailbox to Favorites

Hi,

I manage 3 mailboxes at work and made the mistake of switching to the new Outlook a bit early [my toggle to switch back is gone?] and it's totally messed up my workflow. I was able to find my shared mailboxes after several back and forth with my IT department. Now I need to add the inboxes of those shared mailboxes to my "Favorites" list so I don't have to scroll down constantly to work those accounts.

When I right click on the shared inbox there is no option to "Show in favorites" and I get the circle crossed out when I try to drag them into favorites. Also, in the Favorites folder when I click "Add to Favorites" it brings up something wonky, and mailbox folders don't appear to be an option.

Can anyone tell me how show these shared account folders in my favorites?

Thanks

CM

    Same!

We've been asking for this for nearly a year and now there's enforced rollout of the new Outlook still without this very basic feature.

Updated to 1.2025.219.400. And its the same for me.

I'm now on 1.2025.219.400 - which appears to be the latest, but I still don't have an option to add any folders in 'shared with me' accounts to the favourites.

From the Favorites menu you can now add a shared mailbox as folder, but you cannot choose the folder you are adding as a favorite. The Sent items content is shown in my case.

    Still rubbish

One vary good point: When you are not switching, You can run both versions.

I Saw a communication from Microsoft advising that this will roll out in January 2025.

This 1 feature alone is stopping me from moving from the OLD Outlook to the New Outlook, hope its not too much longer.
