I hate the NEW Outlook

I have been trying to run the "NEW" outlook for a few months now. It is SOOO frustrating to use as commands and functions have just been deleted. Adding files to an email has become a chore and now requires extra steps! I DON'T want to send a link; I want to send the file itself... it is so confusing.
Viewing an attachment becomes a whole new experience as it doesn't open the app related to the file type but leads you down more complicated corridors. Saving attachments is also time consuming as it saves it (unless you are careful) in some sort of folder on One Drive.
I run three accounts (corporate, outlook.com and gmail.com) on mail plus I monitor a few shared folders as well. What used to be simple is now a real chore! Want to change how often in checks for mail... forget it. want to change the functions when it goes to get the mail. Completely disappeared.

Switching back to the "old version" froze the application as it could not update the Outlook account. It is a real tragedy that we seem to have to accept this as the "only" version soon. I am already looking around for alternatives. I have now reverted back to "OLD" and fixed the problem with mail. I have send a note to the organization to NEVER try and load this cut down version... it is a terrible replacement.

Come on Microsoft, you can do better than this.... or is it impossible!!

    You know it's become a radioactive football inside Microsoft when no one from corporate attempts to respond.

    It's as if the UX/UI team never bothered to study how people actually use the app before they decided to change it.

    Useful everyday features like Options and Signatures are now buried deep in the interface or stacked in ways that make no sense.

    IDK, I just get a "sorry Boomers/Gen Xers, the design team grew up on Slack and never uses Outlook, so enjoy the fresh new look and functionality" vibe.

    Absolutely horrible. Just a few things that I hate: 1 cannot scroll, 2 search only seems to search email (!!!), 3 no year view, 4 no 'today' button to return to the current period.

    The people who develop this ****, obviously, never used it.

    Same for me, I find it frustrating. The old version is much easier to use and is quicker. I find the new version mush slower.

    Having just switched to the new outlook - I hate it already. The thing I hate most is I cannot see how to get attached pdf files to open in my pdf app. MS seems to have made the decsion for me that it should only open in Outlook!!! VERY ANNOYING!!!!

    I totally agree with waht was said.

    I commonly use Outlook (the real and complete one from Office) as a mail client, which I found has more useful features (at least for me) than the Windows 10 Mail app.

    On the other hand, I find the calendar display and management features of Outlook particularly cluttered and ugly and so I use the Windows 10 Calendar app to manage my multiple personal and professional calendars.

    What I hate with this new Outlook, is that the UX/UI is a dramatic regression compared to Calendar as it is cluttered with unnecessary information at the point to be nearly illegible PLUS you can't prevent it to download your mails and thus have double notifications.

    I will continue to use the old app as long as possible, but I'm already looking for alternatives matching my personal needs.
