My Outlook inbox is suddenly getting a ton of spam and I don't know how to stop it

Last week, my personal Outlook email started getting ~50 spam emails per day. I barely ever use this email address, so I am not sure how or why this began to happen. How can I stop all of this spam from getting to my inbox?

I have been flagging all of the emails as spam, but it doesn't seem to be stopping the influx of emails I am getting.

Sadly, I have not seen any improvement even after repeated complaints to Microsoft help and trying out all the tips given in this thread.

You should consider investigating a class action in relation to this matter

Same here! A couple of days ago the spam instantly stopped, and I received none anymore. NONE. I can hardly believe it.

    Possible causes:

    • I had just implemented some Rules in an attempt to block any emails with certain words / phrases in the title (unlikely, because I had still received several dozen after implementing them)
    • Microsoft cherry picked me, and possibly others on this forum to help us specifically
    • Microsoft finally fixed their **** concerning obvious spam mails

I don't want to cheer too soon, but it appears my issue has been resolved. How about you guys?
