Last week, my personal Outlook email started getting ~50 spam emails per day. I barely ever use this email address, so I am not sure how or why this began to happen. How can I stop all of this spam from getting to my inbox?
I have been flagging all of the emails as spam, but it doesn't seem to be stopping the influx of emails I am getting.

To add to my frustration, I DO have a GMail addy ... But I have a total of 5 email addresses on different sites (Gmail, Hotmail, live.com, my own business website and comcast.net), and the Outlook App on my laptop is the ideal place for me to view, sort, and manage ALL of my email in ONE location, without having to website hop all over the f'n internet! Plus, with the email downloaded to Outlook on my computer, I can still read them and do some things, even when I don't have internet access, which I sometimes don't have, as I live rural!
The Outlook App needs to function better in regard to SPAM, and with the advances of AI, there really is no reason it can't.

Agree. It's even worse now!!! I just 145 junk emails yesterday mainly from .gov sites. Crazy.
Overwhelming. Imposible to block all of those...
MS needs a better way to deal with junk and should be doing more to stop it.
Agree that it may indeed be time to switch to Google.
this is just BS!!!!!!
ive had hotmail for maybe 20 years or more and i have never had these issues sure there have been spam/scam mails BUT never like this so when will MS fix there BS?? i am very tired getting a ton off **** in my mail each and everyday so fix this or many off us might just leave MS and go too gmail instead sure its a pain in the **** and sadly i will still need outlook for some places but where ever i will be able change i will!!!! and if MS nows their best they will keep their customers and threat us old loyal customers with care and not like ****
so we need a solution provied by MS so that a blocked/reported message can´t get thru once blocked/reported as junk so if MS gonna help us we might stay if not we just might migrate i guess...im sorry MS but i do won´t take this anymore i have had this problem for a long time now so do something about it so we can protect our mail
THANK YOU
I have tried every method under the sun that includes advice at this thread. I have concluded that Microsoft makes a killing from all the ads it doesn't firewall for its consumers and then acts stupid or enjoys seeing consumers run from one rabbit hole to another. It's deliberate on his part, or so I believe, and Gates could consider spending more time on his product rather than vaccines.
