How to stop Outlook links being opened in Edge

Hi,

Normally my Outlook links open in my default browser Chrome.

Today they started to open in Edge even though Chrome is still the default browser.

How do I get them to open in Chrome again?

I am using Windows 11 with the Outlook app.

Thanks

This is a new feature in OUTLOOK and has nothing to do with the default apps in the OS settings.

Go to Outlook Options > Advanced > Link Handling > "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in:" > Select "Default Browser".

    My outlook does not have this under Link Handling. It is under File and Browser Preferences after going to Outlook Options and selecting Advanced.

    If you are solely using Outlook via browser, then you are NOT affected by this "feature" because your browser should open any link in itself, not Edge. At least, I have not seen such behaviour and don't know if that's ever possible at all.

    And with all due respect, I have been accessing my Hotmail account for the last 20-plus years via the hotmail.com website link, which has always worked until now. I have never, ever had to access my Hotmail account any other way. A simple, "we are shutting down that option of accessibility" is all that was needed. Re-arranging my "in" box still sucks, though, as now I have to fix what Outlook decided to break.

    @Can-Can10

    With all due respect, I have the feeling that you were not looking at the correct place. That option is in Outlook desktop app. Not in Outlook displayed from a browser.
