How to stop Outlook links being opened in Edge

Hi,

Normally my Outlook links open in my default browser Chrome.

Today they started to open in Edge even though Chrome is still the default browser.

How do I get them to open in Chrome again?

I am using Windows 11 with the Outlook app.

This is a new feature in OUTLOOK and has nothing to do with the default apps in the OS settings.

Go to Outlook Options > Advanced > Link Handling > "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in:" > Select "Default Browser".

    I have got the same iossue with Outlook opening every link in Edge despite me resetting the default browser as Firefox.

    I tried following your instructions for changing link handling in Outlook but there are no such options under the Advanced tab

    Please can you direct me to where outlook has options to choose the web browser

    In all fairness, current version of Edge is not that bad. I do use it for some situations. It's just that personally, for 80% of the time, I use Firefox. 10% for Chrome and 10% for Edge.

    So I need to open my default browser when I click on a URL. For other situations, I would copy-n-paste the URLs. Not the other way round.

    I don't think Microsoft would get sued for this issue though but that's an interesting suggestion 😊

    Dear Microsoft,

    The whole point of specifying the default browser is for it to be the default browser. It's no longer the default browser if you intentionally choose to not use it.

    Edge sucks and forcing users to use something just because you made it will never work.

    It's criminal and I hope you get sued for it. You certainly deserve to be.
