How to remove "External" tag in Outlook subject lines

Recently my outlook business account has started tagging emails as "External" with a massive grey box that takes up a third of the available space it the preview pane. It was bad enough in the subject lines but this is making my inbox unusable.

Whoever designed it obviously doesn't use email.

Is there a way to disable the External Tagging?

    yes ridiculous; let me know when theres an option to remove it.

    Hi all,

    I know this is not exactly a fix to this annoying issue, but at least it's a workaround.

    Just move the "sender" column one step right from it's default position. I don't know why, but when the sender column is moved away from it's original position, the annoying "external" tag disappears.

    It made my day when I accidentally discovered this workaround! I hope it helps you as well.

    Just to add to the problem, at work we need to use emails as documentation. When you try to clic and drag emails into Sharepoint or OneDrive files, the external is between 2 weird parenthesis signs that cannot be allowed. All emails needs to be manually renamed. Really a waste of time.

    Oh ok I see your picture now. You have your view settings differently so I don't have the 'From" option. I am trying to figure it out it's driving me crazy so bad I can't even get something done because I am so stuck on trying to figure this out !!! Thank you so much for your time i'm trying to figure out how to get to "from" now
