This thread concerns Yahoo mail being read on the Windows 10/11 Mail app. That's not clear in many of the posts in this thread.

This has been going on for some time and it seems others are having same problem is there a solution?

* Edit: As of 3 December 2023 the information below is still true.

There isn't a fix for this. At present, the workaround is to read these messages at https://mail.yahoo.com with a browser.

I am having the same problem with my Yahoo mail. Certain emails are scrambled. I also have to restart my windows desktop in order to receive emails. I am using the Microsoft Mail and Calanders app. My emails are fine on my phone app and iPad mail app. They are also fine when I sign into Yahoo through the web browser. I had an IT company check everything and they can't fix it. They told me to call Yahoo. Yahoo said it's not them because I am not having issues on my other devises. They told me it was a problem with Microsoft's app. I'm ready to throw in the towel. This all started the first week of June 2022. I updated to Windows 11 in March of 2022.

After much effort I made contact with a micosolf support person.

Hard to believe but it is possible (you may have to pay so be careful what you ask)

Bottom line. Micosolf is aware of the problem of coded emails in windows mail

and are working to fix it.

No date was given as to when fit will be done.

(hard to understand a company that strong letting this problem to continue.)

so untill the problem is fixed, read the various work arounds suggested in the cummunity

I am not sure why email address have to be changed as one person suggested

I am simply reading my emails from the web site of my email's base.

I have several email address I have to open more then one site to get mail

If you have contacts at Microsoft, please see this response from person on 7/15/22(?)

"I have Yahoo Plus. I was able to talk to them a few days ago by calling their 1-800 number. They are pointing the finger at Microsoft. They told me since my emails are OK on my Android OS and my apple iPad it is not on their end. I read somewhere that Microsoft is working on the problem. It seems to be happening with other mail servers also. I find it hard to believe that Microsoft can't cough up an answer. I just bought this computer less than a year ago with Windows 10. Upgraded to Windows 11 in March of 2022 and my scrambled email problems started first week of June. FRUSTRATED!"

With all the people having problems, it would be nice if someone from Microsoft would reach out and let us know they are REALLY working on the problem, when we might be able to have a fix and how they will let us know about it. Thank you.
