Gmail / Google - Browser does not support Javascript when trying to add gmail account to Outlook 365

I am lost and google search providing no answers!

I am getting a strange issue when trying to add my google account to Outlook 365

When adding a gmail account and connecting to google for auth, I am able to enter my email address, type of account, but after I submit my password I get the following error.

I even lowered security for the Internet zone to Medium and still no go My default browser in Windows is set to Chrome, it does have Javascript enabled as well - I use the gmail link all the time no issue and to check, I disabled Java in chrom and couldn't access gmail link, so I re-enabled it.

Apart from check this java setting in this browser, is there anyone that can get current google mail to work with current Outlook 365?

    I have the same issue and like another poster, had at one time somehow confused Google with a personal gmail version of an email account that is actually under a Google Workspace account so I get the same choice if G-Suite vs Individual. I've seen it before and worked through it before. I can't see how to make the addin for GWSMO work and the help screen seems to say it won't work for Outlook 365 anyway so I didn't go any farther. I am posting here as I have another email account from the same Google Workspace account (different domain) that works fine and when I update the password for it I don't get the browser doesn't support Javascript error...I get a password field as I'd expect.

    Perhaps that will help someone solve the problem for all of us. Meanwhile I'm just using another email client. Once Readdle (Support Ukraine!) gets Spark working in Windows I'll end my 30 year unhappy marriage to Outlook for good. It's always been bloated and difficult software.

    I am having the same issue with the email tied to the "Organization" account. I have two other personal gmail accounts in outlook that are working fine. The timing of the problem seems very close to the date that google forced the Organization account to either become a paid subscription or opt out of the subscription and keep it fee as it is Personal account. I opted for free personal, because that is what mine is. So could Google now be blocking access to the organization account?

    I don't know if this is the cause, but it seems very coincidental.

    Just as a test, create another user (local, if possible) and try the same thing. If that works, perhaps your user profile is corrupt,

    Which browser is the default? You seem to use "java" and "javascript" interchangeably, but they're unrelated.
