Today I received an email from Microsoft saying

Security alert
We think that someone else might have accessed the Microsoft account ed**___@___.___. When this happens, we require you to verify your identity with a security challenge and then change your password the next time you sign in.

I've changed logged in, went through the security checks, and I've changed my password, but now when I try to log in, it tells me

Something went wrong and we can't sign you in at the moment. Please try again later. The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again.

I'm on a Mac, and I can't access it through the Mail app, nor through a web browser. I've cleared the cache, I've restarted both the app and the browsers and the computer, I've tried different browsers, as well as Incongito Window mode, with no luck. It works on my phone Outlook app, though. But I can't access my emails on my computer?

Any ideas? How long do I have to wait to try it again? I've allowed an hour to pass and I'm still experiencing the same issue.

    This just happened to me this morning. Was everyone else here using Firefox by chance?

    I read through all of the comments and decided to try to open my mail on Edge and it works. However I can't view all the images in my emails. I know some people don't like Firefox but I rely on it because I have everything saved there. Is that the problem with this? And why now? I have been using MSN mail and FF over 20 years!

    I have found that sometimes I can get around this by copying the link and opeing the browsewr incognito.

    Doesn't worl 100% of the time though. MS still need to fix.

    I am having the exact same issue, unable to access Microsoft Teams on MacOS....

    Login attempt just tries and tries and then fails:

    Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later. The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again.

    SOMEBODY FROM MICROSOFT REPLY PLEASE.

    I am getting the same error message. I cant also access ms sways.
