Why is outlook suddenly opening a pop out window when i click on New Email???

I have had outlook 365 for years. Nothing on my end has changed. Suddenly (as of yesterday) every time i click on New Email a pop out window opens up (and the signature within my email is HUGE. About a 48 font yet the font showing is 12) This has never happened before and it is QUITE annoying. I have searched within the OPTIONS of Outlook and I cannot find anything with the option to open a pop out window when composing a new email. So there appears to be nothing for me to check/uncheck in this regard. As far as I know i have had no updates to Outlook that would have made this happen. Has anyone else had this happen and have you figured out how to stop it?????

Their issue is different. We are on the desktop version on Outlook and when we click on the top left button to compose a 'New Mail', a totally separate window opens for it to write the new email. I want it to be in-line with my reading pane instead of opening a new window. If you try the new version of Outlook, it will be in-line as it should be and does not open a new window when you click "new message", but I dont like the new version of Outlook. I want to use the normal one I've used for years. So frustrating.

Why does the IT dept. make changes and not check them before launching?

    Same here, very bloody annoying.

Started happening about two months ago and no way to stop it.

I use reading pane (right) and scroll message to message, when I click anywhere in the two line view, it opens the email in a new window and I have to manually close it.

Happens to me using latest Outlook Desktop client

Yes, I use Outlook web. It opens emails in the window when I use the mouse. I use a Wacom tablet and when I am using the pen it pops open my email message in another window. I do not like having floating email windows. It doesn't work well for me.
