Why is outlook suddenly opening a pop out window when i click on New Email???

I have had outlook 365 for years. Nothing on my end has changed. Suddenly (as of yesterday) every time i click on New Email a pop out window opens up (and the signature within my email is HUGE. About a 48 font yet the font showing is 12) This has never happened before and it is QUITE annoying. I have searched within the OPTIONS of Outlook and I cannot find anything with the option to open a pop out window when composing a new email. So there appears to be nothing for me to check/uncheck in this regard. As far as I know i have had no updates to Outlook that would have made this happen. Has anyone else had this happen and have you figured out how to stop it?????

I started experiencing this behavior on 3/22/2025 after my Zoom Workplace updated to version 6.4.1. The only suggestion from this thread that worked for me in the interim was to remove email preview from my Outlook view. I also noticed that the (unwanted) behavior of bringing the Zoom chat window to the foreground (and then placing focus to the person whose email I had clicked) only occurred with certain Unread emails, not ones that were marked as being Read. Anyway, my Zoom Workplace updated again the next day to version 6.4.2. After this update, the unwanted behavior went away. This also affected others on my team and the 6.4.2 upgrade also resolved the behavior for them.

I also had the same issue. It was driving me nuts. I think I fixed the issue by going to "View" then "sync" . Also, the one suggestion of clicking slowly worked but i could not keep that habit as time is money.

For me, it happens in Outlook app, not browser.
