After update to 16.73 Outlook for Mac, Yahoo mail keeps re-syncing and reloading. Changes made in Outlook AND Yahoo are not syncing.

I have seen np further improvement on this issue. I am doubtful that server settings will help. Microsoft infomed me that this is a problem (see my earier posts) and that they are doing nothing about it so I think we won't see any further action on this. I try each new Outlook update that MS provides but the problem remains unresolved.. I am fairly satisfied with Thunderbolt which I have customised to look and feel a lot like Outlook and it has some features that are better than Outliook.

I never had the problem of missing folders between Outlook Legacy and New Outlook. This may be due to configuring Outlook to keep emails on your computer in which case you may be able to find them on TimeMachine but I would not know where to find the folders in Finder. I never configured Outlook to keep emails on my computer. All emails are on the Yahoo server in my configuration.

Have not heard of a class action. If someone is doing it I would be interested to find out more aand consider joining. MS' lack of interest in their customers should be highlighted. Monopolistic practices like this should be highlighted and brought to the public's attention.

Regarding the multitude of problems with Outlook & Mac such as syncing, re-synching, inability to receive/send emails, etc. There has been discussion by various support staff to "solve" our problems by changing the server settings for accounts in Outlook. There's a post from Sudhanshu describing changing our imap & stmp port settings . It made no sense to me since "imap" server has always been for incoming & "smtp" has been for outgoing mail. Since the "old" settings didn't work most of the time, I reversed the imap & smtp servings I'd used forever to the "new" ones . It didn't work. So rather than occasionally getting mail by OUTLOOK for some of my 4 accounts, I'M GETTING NONE and must use Yahoo to check my mail.

BTW, has anyone ever solved the issue of finding the "Missing" folders that occurred when transitioning to Legacy? I've wondered if they could be recovered in Time Machine, but haven't had the time to research it.

One last question..... Has anyone heard discussion of a possible Class Action lawsuit against Microsoft over all this mess? We were taken for a ride, for sure and many have suffered a lots of both financial and non-financial losses as a result of this fiasco. If a class action lawsuit against Apple for its no keyboard problems succeeded, I'd think this is a far more widespread issue.

Great! I hope we can get some wider coverage of the problem and shame MS into finally doing something.

Not sure it will make any difference, but there was a review of Office for Mac vs. Microsoft 365 on MacWorld today. I found the author's email and apprised her of the syncing issue and suggested since she is reviewing Microsoft's products for Mac, she should be aware of this ongoing issue as well as the hobbled New Outlook that is missing many features of Legacy Outlook. Maybe it will do some good. Fingers crossed.

Today, Microsoft Level 3 Support called and we spent about an hour on the phone interacting via Microsoft Quick Assist for the Mac. 25 minutes of the hour was installing, downloading multiple updates and configuring MS Quick Assist.

The tech created a test folder and emails and basically went through/duplicated my complaints regarding New Outlook for the Mac. Also, she went through the various system settings etc., confirmed there is no export option in New Outlook and rules only work in exchange accounts.

Since folders can’t be moved between accounts she said to create a new folder in the target account a copy (or bulk copy) individual emails into the new folder.

She assured me all these issues are being actively worked on in addition to the ghosting folders (AOL/Yahoo) problem in the Legacy Outlook for the Mac. 

This is the most direct interaction we have had with MS since this problem started last May. Should we have hope?
