No 'SAVE AS' option for attachments in new Outlook desktop app

I understand your concern and you are absolutely right when you receive an email with attachments in Outlook classic, it will allow you to save the attachments to the desired local folder or desktop. However, in the new outlook, it doesn't give you an option where to save the attachment at this time. Please note that this feature it is being developed by the team at the request of many users and will begin rolling out in this week. If you rely heavily on this feature, as you mentioned, you may consider Toggling out of the new Outlook for Windows preview - Microsoft Support for now and observe if this feature rolls out to your tenant until the end of this March. I have commented on this forum too about the issue a couple of times. They need to fix this. I think once they started going "cloud" based with Outlook (new version, even though it's "on" your desktop), the functionality of dragging to and from your Outlook to your "real" computer, as well as the saving option to your actual PC/network, proved too difficult for the programmers to figure out how to bridge that gap.

I have a solution. Now that they have launched their AI tool, Copilot, the programmers just need to ask Copilot to program the solution for them.

Copilot Input: Write code to have the "new" Outlook have the same file attachment saving functionality as the "old" Outlook. 😂

For about three weeks, it seemed the issue with filing attachments was solved. But about two days ago, New Outlook reverted to the old problem. I suggest that it may have arisen in the latest revision from Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.207.500 (Production) (where it worked) to Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.214.400 (where it does not).

Thank you but we are looking for the Save As option to save selected folders, not to send to a downloads folder first.

I am just agreeing with the comments here, hoping that it will help Outlook move quicker on adding a "save as" feature to the new outlook. It is a critical feature for me and I am so surprised it is not a standard option.
