Task bar moved from bottom of screen to the side of screen (I can not figure out how to fix this)

In the top right of the screen, you can turn off Coming Soon to get the navigation bar back to the bottom.

The new left rail that you are seeing will be the default soon so if you can make it work, please try and use it in the new location. This article explains the direction and rationale, New location for key functions and direct access to other Microsoft 365 apps in Outlook (office.com).

I never turned coming soon on yet I still have it on the left. I tried turning coming soon on and then off and restarting outlook. I tried restarting outlook in safemode. NOTHING is making it go back to the bottom! I am also missing the three dots to edit the navigation bar. I leave outlook open and on the left half of my screen. Having this bar on the top left is super inconvenient and horrible! I tried going into outlook to send feedback and the feedback pane won't load either!!! I have to use outlook for my job, it isn't my choice. This change is making me hate outlook and I haven't even had this update for a full day!!! FIX IT! Give us the choice of where we want to put the bar!

It is terrible on the left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! change it back to the bottom. Sucks having to now click in the upper leaft hand of the pane instead of the bottom.

I do not know why MS feels it can mess with people's view like this. Do you feel it's a good customer experience when you log in and MS has changed your view?

P.S. my "Coming Soon" is turned off and I now know of no way to revert my view.

I completely agree. I get that all changes are met with resistance, etc. and no doubt we will get used to this. But any change where you lose screen space is a massive no for a tool that is meant to enhance workflow.
