Today ads started showing up at the top of my Outlook.com Inbox. They look like emails but I can't delete or block them. In the past ads did show up on the right had side and I could live with that but I don't want them at the top of my Inbox.
I want important emails at the top of my inbox not ads. And don't tell me that this is because I have a free account. My google email account is free and it puts all ads where they belong under a Promotions tab where I can ignore them.
How do I correct this?

Hello im a rokie in compu, but what works for me is ADD an extension to blocks ADS, you can download in you computer DuckDuckGo that is search engine (google, IE, etc) and add it in you extension, so you can allow or deny wich page IT GOING TO BLOCK ADS, also you can try TREND MICRO CHECK, SAME FUNCTION. ( hope it will help you and sorry for my english.)
You can delete them, just put pointer on add (Do not click) look to right and you will see trash can just click on it and the add is gone. Hope it works for you.
Did anyone find a solution to this that doesn't involve using an ad blocker or switching to gmail? I have been in touch with customer support and have had 3 emails back so far - none of which seem to understand the issue. The last one suggested I just delete the ads!

You can delete them with the garbage can to the right of the ad but they'll just be back again........and again.......and again!
