In the latest update of Outlook for Mac I can no longer see a count of the number of emails in my inbox.  Is there a way to get it back?

Yes, how did a developer miss this. This is an essential tool to report Inbox counts. Please fix this immediately.

I don't see the correction in the version I'm using now. Doesn't seem important to MS!

    There is a short workaround.

    1. Select any message in your inbox. You'll see the content of the message in the right section of the window.
    2. Make the Select All command (COMMAND + A)., The content of the message will be replaced with the number of selected messages.

I know, this omission is unbelievable... but this workaround is fast and convenient.

Big oversight, something I refer to daily....very important to add back the total # of read and unread emails in a folder, especially the Inbox. Very important.

    Hi,

This thread was created nearly 7 months ago and still this crucial feature has not been resolved.

Is anyone (at MS) able to provide an update?

    Thanks,

Agree that the count is VERY useful and critical. And I am very much looking forward for it to return.

A work-around in the meantime (haven't checked the 317 replies to see if it has been given before):

    • click an email
    • Command+A (marks all)
    • then you will see the number of conversations (which is better than nothing)

    Dennis
