In the latest update of Outlook for Mac I can no longer see a count of the number of emails in my inbox.  Is there a way to get it back?

This function is available in the Windows version.

Please restore this critical function in New Outlook for Mac.

Not sure how this gets left out.

11500 views, 334 people with the same question in a thread open for 16 months and this feature is still missing?

    shame on you.

Its not a new feature - just bring back the counter.

Support the organized people as well as the people with 100k emails in their inbox who need to hide this number.

I stuck with the “old” version of outlook for months because it still had the total inbox count at the bottom. Suddenly one day my folders stopped syncing and switching the to “new” version solved that issue, but no inbox count, I’m “selecting” all emails several times a day to view the total count. Microsoft, please please return this feature with the next update;) thank you so much!!!

This is ludicrous! I must have the total number of emails for my inbox displayed. How could you do this to us! I have to use the new version because my spotlight search for outlook is no longer working, even your support team cannot fix it, I would have to completely reinstall outlook and I have a 40GB inbox which days DAYS to download all the messages, so I am forced to use the new version to search for emails, and the new version does not show me the total number of emails. I cannot work like this. BTW, it was converting to the new version as an early adopter that broke my spotlight search to begin with! FIX THIS NOW!

    Hello Robert Carroll,

According to my test in 16.42 version, in New Outlook and classic Outlook window and next to the Inbox folder will always show the total number of Unread emails. For you issue of “no longer see a count of the number of emails”, could you kindly share more details of it with us for checking?  And what’s the full version number?

You may also try to create a new Outlook profile, set it to default, restart Outlook and add your account again to see if result is the same: Manage profiles or identities in Outlook for Mac (please do not remove the old profile during test to avoid data loss) .

    Best Regards,

    Anna
