In the latest update of Outlook for Mac I can no longer see a count of the number of emails in my inbox.  Is there a way to get it back?

I agree with the rest in this thread.

    Bring back the counter @Microsoft!

    I agree with Francous Begin

I need the total of emails (read and Unread) in that folder (i.e. Inbox). It use to appear in the footer section of the software but it's gone.  It's a very helpful tool to manage your inbox.  Please make it available again.

I also need to be able to see just the emails in a particular day . This used to be possible in old outlook . I could work on todays emails while other days emails were collapsed in previous days or week or month

    hi all,

I've been following this thread for a long time, but I've just noticed that there is another place where MS does seem to be reading and I haven't seen it mentioned ion the 17 pages with responses in this thread yet.

In (New) Outlook for Mac -> Help -> Feedback -> Suggest a feature.

    This brings you to

    https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/89a8afa3-2e1c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472

where the 3rd most frequently up-voted feature is exactly what this thread is about too: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/6f769595-db1c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f80e8

So please join in up-voting there. Various items on the first URL above here have the status : "We're working on this", so hopefully your up-votes will help in getting this to move.

btw, I've now completely lost all buttons to go back. No longer an option in the Help menu.

    Frans

I just somehow switched to the new outlook today - and can't believe that the number of emails in my inbox is no longer available as an automatic count - this is a tool that I used daily to try and manage my inbox.

    +1 for this feature.

Without this feature it's like driving a car without fuel gauge or driving a ship without GPS!, feels awkward.

Tried switching to new and old outlook few times as new one felt 'odd!' finally realised what i am missing!

Its one small feature for Microsoft, but for us to take a giant leap to new outlook - this is needed :-)
