How do I remove the Teams meeting link from a calendar invite?!

I purposefully made sure that it was not toggled on. It is for an external meeting so we have to use zoom instead of teams as everyone doesn't have access to teams. When I made an edit to the attendee list it automatically added in a Teams link. I can't remove it and I've searched and searched for a way to remove it. Please help!

Hello Jane,

You can simply click on the Description field and press Ctrl + A to select and then delete Teams meeting link, then use the Zoom meeting Add-ins to insert a link for Zoom meeting and click Send, when the attendees receive the updated meeting invitation email, this meeting will display as a Zoom meeting rather than Teams meeting on their calendar.     This isn't correct. All this does is remove the Team link and call-in info from the invitation text. It does not actually remove the Teams meeting. The team join link and call-in info are still active. If someone clicks Join in the Teams calendar, the meeting is still available.

    Wild Wallace - your solution worked in previous versions of Outlook 365 for Windows, but it does not work for the "new" New Outlook for Windows [MS Outlook Version 1.2023.526.100].

    The "Don't Host Online" button that we used to use to truly remove the online meeting, it no longer exists in the New Outlook for Windows.

    Yes, if you create a new meeting, there is a toggle button to toggle on/off the Teams meeting, but for an existing (old) meeting, there is no option to toggle off, and there is no "Don't Host Online" button.

    And, you can no longer customize the ribbon in the calendar view so we cannot just add that Button.

    The New Outlook for Windows is very, very similar to Outlook online, which also lacks the functionality to "Don't Host Online".

    Microsoft should fix this.

    This web page explains how to remove the Teams link -- you need to use the full outlook app, not Outlook Online, as far as I can see, but it worked for me.

    Thanks for your reply. If you want to remove teams meeting for the existing meeting invitation and insert a zoom meeting link, you can follow the following steps:

    1. Open your calendar, find the existing meeting event and click Edit.
    2. Delete the Microsoft Teams meeting information from the Description field, for your reference:

    1. Then insert a Zoom meeting link and click Send to send meeting updates to all attendees:
