Family Calendar Missing

Hi.

My family and I have created a Microsoft family group. When clicking the 'plan family events' link in the family home page we are all taken to our personal calendars but there is no 'Family Calendar' under the 'Other Calendars' list. Can someone please suggest a cause of this issue and/or a remedy?

The family calendar has never been visible for any of us and we created the family group approx. 48 hours ago.

Thanks.

Ross

I opened a ticket regarding this very issue after creating a family - no family calendar "automatically" created either.

This is the response back from support:

This a known issue in Outlook.com where in most of customers are unable to access the Contacts and Calendar by a glitch in the server. Don’t be worried our Research and Development team are working very hard to get this rectified for our customers and will be deploying a fix as soon as possible.

Please keep an eye on the https://portal.office.com/servicestatus portal.

The service status portal has nothing relating to Family Calendar listed, let alone calendars in general.

Great, thanks Adam. I will probably not do this as I used the work around but this is good advice if others want to try.

    Hi Adam,

It's good to know that it can be fixed! I have not been able to log a specific ticket with Microsoft on this as you were able to do, I was just pointed to this forum as somewhere to post an issue. My issue still remains, a work around was to setup a new calendar (I called it family) and then manually share that with the relevant group (my family!) and provide organizer access to the other members. This works but it was a shame the feature Microsoft was touting as a useful tool never showed up.

I created the ticket by going through the "Help" UI on outlook.com, by searching for any subject (doesn't really matter which), and then pressing "Yes" to the "Do you still need help" question in the bottom:
